Hi! I’m Sophia.

In February 2025 I moved from Basel, Switzerland, to Boston, where I work as an epidemiologist. One of the things I love most about this city is how close the ocean is. I take every chance to get to the beach and rarely come home empty-handed. Shells, sea glass, stones — they used to end up in a jar, now they end up in my studio.

At Shorebird Studio those beach finds get a second life, and a small piece of the New England coast makes its way into a new home. If one of them speaks to you, I’d love to hear from you!
